Members are an
important part of all successful community centers because they are
responsible for the decisions of our future endeavours.

Active members:
Any person interested in «Help and Information Center»’s objectives
and activities, who meets the administrative criteria established by
resolution of the board of directors, can become an active member if
she makes a request and if the board of directors agrees by
approving the membership. Active members have the right to
participate to the «Help and Information Center» activities, to
receive notification for our assemblies, to assist to these
assemblies and to vote. Only members in good standing for at least
three (3) months are eligible to be a member of the board of
directors.

Corporate
members: Any corporation or business interested in «Help and
Information Center»’s activities and goals and which meets the
admission criteria can become a corporate member. The corporation
can be represented by a person that is designated in writing. This
representative, if she meets the established criteria, becomes
eligible to the board of directors after three (3) months as a
member in good standing. This representative assists and votes at
the general assemblies in the name of the corporate member. A
corporate member can dismiss and replace its representative. If the
corporate member withdraws itself, this automatically withdraws the
person appointed by the corporation.

Community
members: Any community center interested in the «Help and
Information Center»’s goals and activities and which meets the
established admission criteria can become a «Help and Information
Center»’s community member. The center has the right to be
represented by a physical person designated in writing. That
representative automatically becomes eligible to be a member of the
board of directors after three (3) months as a member in good
standing. That representative takes part and votes at assemblies in
the name of the community center. During assemblies, several members
of the same organization are allowed to take the floor but only one
has the right to vote. If the community member withdraws itself,
this automatically withdraws the person appointed by the community
center.

Honorary members:
«Help and Information Center» has the liberty to choose as an
honorary member, any person who helped or will help, by donation, by
his work or who has been expressing his support for the activities
aimed by «Help and Information Center». This is done by resolution
of the board of directors. Honorary members can participate to «Help
and Information Center»’s activities and take part in members’
assemblies. They can vote in these assemblies.

Honorary members
of a fixed term: «Help and Information Center» has the liberty
to choose as an honorary member of a fixed-term, by resolution, any
person who helped or will help, by donation, by work or who has been
expressing support for the activities aimed by the «Help and
Information Center». Honorary members can participate to «Help and
Information Center»’s activities and take part to assemblies of
members. They have the right to take the floor, but not to vote.
They are not eligible to the board of directors as administrators of
the «Help and Information Center».

Associated
members: Any friend, auxiliary, sympathizer, benefactor who
benefits from the actions or activities provided by «Help and
Information Center», and, if need be, pays the same or a different
contribution than active members, can become an associated members
if he complies himself to every established criteria. This member is
not eligible to the board of directors and does not have the right
to vote in members’ assemblies, but can take part in it verbally.
