Sessions
At «Help and Information Center», we are very concerned about the development and the maintenance of our relationships with governmental, paragovernmental and private bodies, as well as our relationships with different community centers and academic institutions. As a matter of fact, one of our goals is to promote education and prevention. Our awareness and training sessions aim to reach a large population in order to provide more resources to help fight sexual and psychological harassment in the workplace. These sessions are one of the ways for us to finance our different activities.
Awareness sessions: The awareness sessions’ goal is to sensitize the workers of today and tomorrow about the issue of harassment in the workplace. In these sessions, we discuss the different forms of harassment that may occur in the workplace, as well as the possible consequences they may have for businesses, victims and harassers. Awareness sessions are offered to workers who could be vulnerable or working in an environment where harassment may already exist (for example: schools, community centers, businesses, etc.)
Training sessions: The training sessions’ goal is to help leaders create internal policies aimed to eradicate harassment in their work environment. We can help you determine what the essential elements of your policy should be as well as help you determine the importance of adopting such a policy.
The goals of these training sessions are to help people recognize and acknowledge what harassment in the workplace is, and to teach them how to deal with it, when confronted by it. These sessions will help you with the importance of implanting an internal policy. They will also help you in preventing harassment and guide you during the investigations with victims, witnesses and the alleged harasser.
These educational training sessions are offered to people who are in the position of taking action in the prevention of harassment in the workplace and for those who will have to take a stand when confronted by this issue (examples: employers, executives, unions, board members, etc.).
