Different Categories of Members

  • Active Members

Anyone interested in GAIHST objectives and activities and who complies with the admission standards established by a Board of director's resolution, can become an active member of GAIHST upon request and pending approval of the Board.

 

Only actives members in good standing for at least 3 months may be elected to the Board of directors of GAIHST.

  • Associate Members

Any friend, supporter, benefactress who benefits from GAIHST services and, if appropriate, who pays contributions equal or different to those of the active members may be an associate member if it fulfills all the established admission standards.

Associate members may not be elected to the Board of directors and they do not have the right to vote.

  • Corporate Members

Any company or corporation that is interested in GAIHST objectives and activities and that complies with the admission standards established may become a corporate member of GAIHST. They can be represented by a physical person that is nominated in writing. This representative automatically benefits of the status of active member if they comply with the required standards of administration and, therefore, may be elected to the Board after 3 months as an active member.

 

The representative votes on behalf of the corporate member.

By resolution of the Board of directors, it is possible to require a higher membership fee for this membership category.

  • Community Members

Any community center that is interested in GAIHST objectives and activities and that complies with the admission standards established, may become a community member of GAIHST. They can be represented by a physical person that is nominated in writing. This representative automatically benefits of the status of active member if they comply with the required standards of administration and, therefore, may be elected to the Board after 3 months as an active member.

 

The representative votes on behalf the community member.

By resolution of the Board of directors, it is possible to require a different membership fee in light of the reality of community centers requesting a membership.

  • Honorary Members

Any person who has contributed or may contribute to GAIHST by their work or donations, or who has showed great support for GAIHST objectives.

 

Honorary members may be elected to the Board of directors. They do not have to pay any membership fee or contribution to GAIHST.

  • Honorary members for a limited period

Any person who has contributed or may contribute to GAIHST by their work or donations, or who has showed great support for GAIHST objectives.

These members do not have the right to vote and may not be elected to the GAIHST Board of directors.
